Elsa Home Health is currently seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to individuals in alignment with their personalized care plans
- Assist with daily living activities, including hygiene, meals, and mobility
- Administer medications as prescribed (must have certification or be willing to complete the medication management training upon hire)
- Implement and document services and supports according to individual care plans
- Accurately maintain daily progress notes and other required documentation
- Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all aspects of care
- Foster a supportive and respectful environment
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Medication Management Certification (or willingness to complete certification through our program upon employment)
- Strong understanding of person-centered care and planning
- Ability to follow and document services based on individualized care plans
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus
- Dependable, patient, and team-oriented attitude
